Challenge

Due to the pandemic Teresa was forced to close her business as result of the mandatory shutdowns. Eager to stay afloat and continue running her own business, Teresa reached out to Renaissance for help.

Result

Renaissance’s business consultant encouraged her to pivot her business while she was unable to be open. Teresa enrolled in Arranca tu negocio con Confianza, which is equivalent to the Start Smart program offered in Spanish. Teresa utilized this opportunity to start a new business as a fresh fruit cart selling in the east side of San Jose. After completing Arranca tu negocio con Confianza, Teresa then participated in the 4-week Marketing bootcamp (Sácale partido a tus Redes Sociales). This has been a great opportunity for Teresa to continue running a business and providing for her family with an income, as she is the female head of household. Teresa is now thriving in her cart business and is continuing to gain knowledge from her one-on-one consultations with Renaissance Business Advisor.
