Garment alterations & dance circle skirts designs. I’m a full-time mom, with a passion for sewing.
Erika Ipanaque shifted her passion for sewing into a functioning business of tailoring pieces for others along with bringing her own unique designs to life. In order to continue being the head of the household as a mother and wife, she came to a tough realization that talent alone was not sufficient to convert her business.
In need of support to transform her business’ marketing strategies, Erika began working with Lucero De Leon (Renaissance) and Gloria Ruiz (The Latina Center). She was partnered with Susana Cardenas to receive 1-on-1 marketing support. Amid feelings of excitement and nervousness, she logged onto her first Zoom call with her new mentor. Susana’s calm confidence in her expertise greatly inspired Erika to be eager to continue learning.Only a couple months later Erika developed an invoice template with her logo, chose 3 colors to represent her brand, had official Facebook and Instagram business accounts, organized image files for professional use, an archive of her biography, and finalized social media calendar for consistent content. With Renaissance’s support, Erika has transformed her business’ marketing strategy. As she strengthens her digital presence, one of her biggest lessons is to continue growing to view herself as the entrepreneur that she is.
