DESCRIPTION:This workshop will help entrepreneurs and small business owners understand common legal issues that can impact their businesses and how to avoid them. Participants will learn practical tips related to business structure\, contracts\, licenses\, permits\, taxes\, intellectual property\, and employee or client agreements. The session is designed to provide general guidance and preventive strategies to help business owners reduce legal risks and make informed decisions as they grow their businesses. \nFacilitator: Benjamin Mills Martin\, Jr.\, Attorney at Law \n\n  \nAttorney Benjamin Martin is a Business Consultant for the Small Business Development Center.  He conducts workshops and one on one counseling sessions to help small businesses succeed. His private practice supports start-ups and small businesses.  He earned his Juris Doctor degree at Southwestern University Law and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Cal State Univ.
