DESCRIPTION:Designed for both new small business owners and existing businesses ready to pivot from outsourcing to local production\, this session will walk you through the opportunities\, challenges\, and practical steps of bringing your product to life with local partners. You will learn how to navigate California’s manufacturing landscape\, tap into regional supply chains\, plan production efficiently\, and build long-term relationships with manufacturers. \nMake your next move a strategic one and keep it LOCAL. \nTopics covered:\n– Opportunities + challenges\n– Types of manufacturing available\n– Sourcing materials and vendors in California/How to find and vet local manufacturers\n– Intro to Local Supply Chains \nCan sewn products be made locally? Why are so many made offshore? How will import tariffs impact your options? \nExplore your production options\, and learn about minimums\, price quotes\, lead time\, payment terms\, and social and environmental compliance. We’ll also discuss the special requirements of producing in California\, and what cannot be made in the US. \nFacilitator: Tara Cruz \nNote: Our services and programs are open to all entrepreneurs.
