Every founder has a story. As underdogs, our stories are especially powerful. The barriers we have faced to get to where we are today are our most powerful assets. Stories can help us gain lifelong customers, raise capital, and make traction—if they’re told the right way. In this workshop, you’ll reflect on your identity, craft your story, and learn how to tell it in a compelling way. We’ll learn together, by practicing with each other and giving feedback. You’ll leave with a clear story of your business and some new friends.
Vedika Dayal is the author of Think Outside the Odds, a book that explores how you can embrace your disadvantages to innovate through the stories of 13 underdog founders. She has guest lectured at Harvard University and mentored founders on storytelling at various institutions. The focus of her work is to empower those who feel like their dreams are out of reach. Vedika is an explorer at heart and is always seeking out new coffee shops to hear stories and write them.
