Women Mean Business: Buy the change you wish to see in the world (WBC 06/21/23)

June 21 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This in-person networking event will be at our SoMa offices at 275 5th Street, San Francisco, CA. Our offices are on the second floor, so you can take the stairs or elevator when you arrive.

In this conversation, you will learn how to align your financial decisions with your environmental values. Danetha Doe will walk through the importance of buying from green companies, investing your 401(k) in green organizations, and how to be a more strategic philanthropist that moves the needle with climate change. There will be networking before and after the presentation and an opportunity to have conversations about how to create the change we wish to see in the world as women business owners.

Points covered in the presentation: 1) The role we play as consumers and business owners in the climate change crisis 2) Most 401(k) holders are unknowingly devastating the planet by investing trillions of dollars in fossil fuels 3) You don’t have to be a billionaire to be an effective philanthropist – increase your impact with giving circles.

Takeaways: You will leave with clear action steps to buy the change you wish to see in the world.

How to Get to our SoMa office:

We are located in San Francisco at 275 5th Street, near the corner of 5th and Folsom.

We encourage you to take public transportation! If you are taking BART, we’re about a 10-minute walk from Powell Street Station. There are also several MUNI stops nearby.

If you are driving, we recommend parking at the 5th & Mission Parking Garage. It’s a short walk to Renaissance from there.
