Branding Therapy (East Bay) (Hybrid) (10/31/23 – 12/5/23)

October 31 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

“Branding is the story you tell, Marketing is how you tell that story.” In this 6 week course we are going to break down branding essentials to help you position yourself to get clear on the story you want to tell, how it aligns to your niche audience, and how it impacts your digital presence.  Homework will be distributed each week and we will walk together to build your foundation.

BT 101 – What is Branding?
Why is branding important? What is the difference between internal branding and external branding? How does branding impact how you show up in the marketplace? We will analyze some of the Brands we love and break them down.

BT 102 – Brand Research, Audits, and Market Research
Whether you have an idea of the brand you want to create or you’re already in operation, we are going to discuss the importance of knowing the market around you and how you compare before we create.

BT 103 – Mission, Vision, + Unfair Advantage
The Big 3. Every organization knows why they are in business, what they hope to accomplish in business, and what makes them stand out from the market…and you should too.

BT 104 – Brand Substance: Promise, Values, Characteristics, + UVP
When your customers, clients, and community work with you, what should they expect?

BT 105 – Brand Guardrails + SWOT Analysis
Distinctly say what you are and what you are NOT. (The not is more important btw).
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Yes, we will spend an entire class on this.

BT 106- Brand Identity Elements + Guidelines + Implementation
Now that you have created the soul of your brand, how does it translate to your name, logo, brand colors, slogan, imagery, shape (physical elements), graphics, typography, and much more. After creating the branding that is aligned with your organization, how do you implement it? What are the next steps? We’ll talk about the importance of an implementation strategy and being intentional about how you show up in the market.
