Duration: 3 hours

This intensive workshop has a fee of $39.00 dollars. It will help business owners understand the bookkeeping and financial management concepts.

This is a 6-hour workshop, split into two sessions:

During the first session, the presenters will discuss the components of a business, the importance and purpose of bookkeeping, and the purpose of different financial reports. The importance of accounting, budgeting, and bookkeeping terminology will also be discussed. Some of the main points that will be discussed throughout the presentation are as followed: cash vs. accrual accounting, proper accounting data flow processes, and lines of credit vs. business loans.

During the second session, attendees will learn the use of developing a budget, developing a statement of cash flows, and developing a cash flow forecast in order to track and project future monthly cash needs. The presenters will also discuss how to avoid excessive tax penalties and how to reduce small businesses’ taxes, as well as understanding many of the taxes that affect business and profits. These may include state and federal income and payroll taxes, sales and use taxes, and property and city taxes. Attendees will also learn about cash flow analysis.
