Makers and Crafters Business Quarterly Series: Turning dreams into reality – Reimagining the steps of invention and production

There are millions of ideas floating in the boundless imaginations of the people throughout the world today. Imagine if just a fraction of those ideas could be realized, how much of an impact that could have on our lives today! While there are plenty of new or improved gadgets and devices that are floating around in our collective imaginations, it is often far too difficult to get to the next step, that may turn a design or concept into something real.

Some of the biggest hurdles towards seeing some of these possibly world-changing ideas being turned into reality are found in the often uncharted lands of developing the first design or prototype. Today, however, the path has been made considerably easier through access to modern digital design and fabrication technologies.
