Before starting a business, one must have an idea if the business will be a viable venture or not. How does one do this? One of the ways to do this is by running the Financial Projections.
The Financial Projections class takes participants through the simulation of a business’s financial statements, giving them an idea of what it would take to realistically survive in today’s market given their chosen assumptions.
Alex Nerguizian has over 19 years of experience in the field of personal and business finance from both the private and the non-profit sectors. He spent seven years in banking where he specialized in wealth management and lending to support personal and small business clients. As a consultant for the last 12 years, he has worked assisting various non-profit organizations, both in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the nation, by delivering financial education curricula, offering technical assistance and providing coaching training and support to capacitate non-profit staff in their fight to bridge the financial wealth gap in our society. Alex has been part of the NeighborWorks’ faculty where he teaches various financial capability courses including their Financial Coaching courses since 2011. He’s also been a part of the UnidosUS and CFPB faculty since 2016. As an entrepreneur, he currently juggles 3 projects that include owning a Food Truck (www.nissabar.com), developing a Financial Mindfulness App (www.myvizmap.com), and running an Online Class/Blog (www.zerotofoodtrucker.com). Being born and raised in Argentina, Alex can provide all his services in Spanish. He graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics in 2004. Since 2014, Alex has been certified as an Accredited Financial Counselor by the AFCPE. In 2018, he was certified as a Financial Fitness Coach through Sage Financial Solutions.
