The Business Incubator, launched in 1990, was the first of its kind in Northern California. The Business Incubator currently serves 25 small businesses in diverse service industries from information technology and graphic design to event planning. Program services include:

Incubation Criteria:

• In business for a minimum of six months with an existing customer base and revenue stream
• Ready to commit to a comprehensive incubation program for a minimum of one year
• Willing to work in a cooperative environment with other entrepreneurs
• Have a business plan or commit to completing one within the first three months of tenancy

For home-based businesses or those in earlier stages of development, Renaissance offers the Business Assistance Center (BAC). The BAC provides clients with access to shared professional office space, meeting rooms and office equipment, as well as reception service and mailboxes. Clients also receive regular counseling on their current issues, and attend monthly meetings

To Apply for the Incubator or BAC:

• Attend an orientation and tour of the facility
• Submit a written application including financial documents
• Interview with the Senior Business Consultant
• Meet with a current Incubator Tenant
• Attend a final meeting with the Director of Administration and Operations to review lease terms
